The Bulgari Diagono Magnesium is not short on style: The watch is resolutely contemporary and confidently asserting both its sportiness and its sophistication. The Diagono brings style to every occasion, every circumstance and every situation.

The magnesium case is very light and is coated with motorlac which protects the case and at the same time creates a granulated texture and colourful new reflective effects. The bezel is made from ceramic, a light and scratch-resistant material.
It comes with a diameter of 42.5 mm, in a lacquered red, blue, grey or black version. Every one of them is water resistant up to 100 m. The dials come in matching colours and they feature three subdials: A 12-hour-counter on 6 o’clock, a 30-minute-counter on 9 o’clock, and a small second on six a clock. Bulgari also found place for a small date window at 4.30.

The Bulgari Diagono Magnesium Chronograph is powered by a mechanical self-winding movement. The calibre B130 works at 4 Hz and provides a 42-hour power reserve.

A execução inclui o tradicional mostrador tipo B, com destaque dos minutos e segundo mostrador concêntrico para as horas, num design simples e despojado, sem qualquer complicação além dos três ponteiros. A caixa, em aço, tem 42mm de diâmetro, resistência à água até 5 atm e vidro de safira. Os ponteiros, os números e as marcações têm aplicação de Superluminova C3 para leitura no escuro.
Com um preço abaixo dos 300 euros e um movimento mecânico automático, este relógio é uma excelente escolha para quem procura um relógio tipo piloto com uma execução clássica reminiscente dos modelos originais.

Invicta Reserve model 1375

Invicta é uma marca fundada no final do século XIX na Suíça que foi adquirida por uma empresa de investimentos norte-americana em 1991. A sua sede foi entretanto relocalizada para a Florida, nos EUA.

Este relógio para mulheres (ou homens que gostem de rosa, evidentemente) tem a particularidade de não seguir a via habitual dos fabricantes que fazem modelos mais pequenos para mulheres, baseados nos modelos grandes para homem. Na verdade, este é um relógio com dimensões XXL: 50mm de diâmetro!
Não se trata propriamente um relógio para usar no mar, apesar da resistência à água até 200 metros: nem a coroa é de rosca nem existe qualquer bisel rotativo para controlo do tempo de mergulho. Ficamos apenas pela decoração “náutica” em torno do mostrador... A Invicta utiliza um vidro especial para os mostradores desta gama, designado Flame Fusion e que a empresa diz ser superior ao vidro de safira
O preço deste relógio ronda os 400 euros online. Não é barato, mas penso que é um preço que é compensado pela originalidade.a

É o próprio que assume a Briston como "uma marca francesa que nasceu a partir de um espírito muito British".

O lema da marca é "Sporty Chic" e podemos dizer que é exatamente isso que nos sugere este modelo da gama Clubmaster. Além disso, desde o início que a ideia passa produzir relógios acessíveis, o que é certamente o caso desta máquina.

O movimento usado é um Miyota OS21, que oferece este layout elegante com dois sub-mostradores às 9h00 e 3h00 equilibrados pela janela de data às 6h00.A caixa usada tem 40mm de diâmetro e 11,7mm de espessura. A resistência à água é de 10 atmosferas (100 metros) e o vidro do mostrador é mineral.

Descontando o facto de o resultado final ser esteticamente muito bem conseguido e equilibrado, o nível de execução não parece ser nada de especial. Contudo, o preço pedido, de €300, é suficientemente baixo para esquecermos qualquer arrojo do lado dos acabamentos e materiais usados.

A bracelete em pele preta incluída pode ser substituída por outras de diferentes cores (€55) ou de nylon tipo NATO (€25).

Die wasserdichte Box bis 10 ATM ist 40mm im Durchmesser und das Zifferblatt ist sehr sauber, mit einer Doppelskala von 12 und 24 Stunden, die es dem militärischen Look verleiht. Die gewählte Bewegung war die automatische Miyota 9015 , die mit 4 Hz arbeitet (28.800 Wechsel / Stunde). Obwohl es sich um ein Uhrwerk handelt, das um 3 Uhr morgens datiert ist, entschied sich die Marke, wahrscheinlich aus ästhetischen Gründen, die Vorteile dieser Komplikation nicht zu nutzen.

Der Preis, direkt von der Website des Herstellers (in den USA), ist $ 400 - ein wenig gezogen für ein Modell einer Marke ohne Ahnentafel, auch wenn man bedenkt, dass es ein Automat ist, umso mehr, dass es notwendig ist zu zahlen Zollabfertigung bei der Ankunft in Portugal.

Breitling Unveils Bold New Chronomat Raven

This past weekend in Las Vegas at the Red Bull Air Race, Breitling’s pilot Nigel Lamb took a spin around the skies in the yellow Breitling MXS-R during a recon flight, capturing great images of the sites below. Breitling has long been involved in aerobatic aviation, as well as being recognized as the go-to watch instrument for pilots around the world.



Now, Breitling has unveiled the all-new Chronomat 44 Raven, a bold black-and-orange beauty that is the embodiment of performance. It was in 1984 — 30 years ago — that Breitling launched the Chronomat series of COSC-certified chronometer chronographs. Since then, the collection has evolved. This new watch houses the Manufacture Breitling Caliber 01 and reinvents the pilot’s chronograph in a truly unique rendition. It features a satin-brushed steel case that is entirely clad in black via a carbon-based coating.



The 44mm watch is accented with a Breitling embossed rubbers trap and features a unidirectional rotating bezel with orange rubber inlaid numerals for ultra contrast. That same bold orange commands attention on the inner bezel as a tachymeter, and is also used for the chronograph subdials. The self-winding Manufacture caliber with a black oscillating weight enhanced with orange markings is visible via a transparent sapphire caseback. This grand watch will be in stores soon. Breguet Opens Exhibit of Historical Watches in San Francisco

Abraham-Louis Breguet is widely considered one of the greatest watchmakers of all time. Born in Neuchâtel in 1747, he set up his own business in Paris in 1775, where he revolutionized horology on both technical and aesthetic levels. He succeeded in making himself known in many countries and cultivated ties with the greatest personalities of his era.



The exhibition aims to deal with Breguet’s lifework by themes, ranging from the simplest watches (models with a single hand) to the most complicated (those providing multiple indications), and from purely scientific objects (marine chronometers) to exquisitely refined decorative clocks (such as those with bronzes by Thomire).



Each theme and each invention is explained in the most easily understandable way. Visitors will be able to grasp the meaning of a so-called pepétuelle watch, a “tourbillon” regulator, a subscription watch, a tact watch, a minute repeater watch, and more.

Some credit the concept of DST to American politician and inventor Benjamin Franklin, who, in a 1784 essay entitled “An Economical Project for Diminishing the Cost of Light,” suggested people get out of bed earlier in the morning to use the light instead of candles.

More than a century later, in 1895, a New Zealand entomologist, George Vernon Hudson, who liked to collect insects in his free time, wanted more daylight time for his studies, so he presented a report to the Wellington Philosophical Society proposing a two-hour daylight savings time program. Though the concept wasn’t embraced internationally, it laid the groundwork for what would come later.

In 1905, British builder William Willett proposed the idea of DST, suggesting setting clocks ahead in April and switching them back in September. His idea caught the attention of Robert Pearce, who introduced a bill to the House of Commons in 1908. The concept was opposed by farmers in England and did not pass, but it laid more groundwork.

In 1916, Germany was the first country to implement DST and several countries followed suit, including America.



In the United States after World War II, states could choose whether or not they wanted to impose DST and on which dates. However, mass confusion caused Congress to establish the Uniform Time Act in 1966, which set a protocol for DST times/dates. Still, some U.S. states/territories don’t participate, calling out the dubious usefulness of DST.

As part of the Energy Policy Act of 2005, the length of DST in America was extended by four weeks, starting in 2007. Additionally, while it is recognized around the world, not all countries practice DST, and those that do, do so on different dates.

Es ist lange her, seit ich irgendetwas von dieser Marke gepostet habe (das letzte war 2013), also dachte ich, dass es Zeit war!

Die Uhr ist von einer Firma namens S'SQURE (oder manchmal als SSQure oder S-Squre geschrieben). Wenn man das Logo im Detail betrachtet, zeigt sich tatsächlich, dass der echte Name S²SQURE ist, aber das ist schwer zu erkennen, wenn es normalerweise so klein geschrieben wird. Die Firma scheint in China zu wohnen und stellt alle Arten von interessanten Billiguhren mit interessanten und farbenfrohen Designs her. Auch wenn ich schon länger nicht mehr blogge, habe ich immer wieder versucht, in einigen meiner Untersammlungen mehr Uhren zu finden.

Die heutige Uhr ist eine davon und stammt von der Deadman (oder Dead Man) Uhrenlinie, von der ich nur noch kleine Beträge kenne. Ich plane, eine Markenseite zusammenzustellen, um alle Modelle abzudecken, die ich kenne (was mehr ist, als ich bisher gebloggt habe), also halte Ausschau nach dieser Seite!

Dieses Modell ist das GV 4089 (oder GV4089) und ist eines der "normaleren" Designs, die Deadman produziert hat. Es ist ein Quarz-Analog-Design mit einem sehr 60er / 70er-Jahre-Design. Es hat ein tiefes Metallgehäuse mit einem ovalen Gesicht, das von dickem Glas bedeckt ist. Das Gesicht ist ein 3-Hand-Zifferblatt mit silbernen Zeigern und Zahlen in den Positionen 3, 6, 9 und 12 Uhr auf einem schwarzen Hintergrund. Der einzige Text auf der Vorderseite ist Deadman und Quartz, und die Rückseite hat den Markennamen und die Modellnummer. Das Design wird mit einem silbernen Metallband mit dem üblichen Deadman geprägten Armbandclip vervollständigt.

Ich habe die Bestätigung, dass die Deadman-Uhren in den späten 90ern raus waren, aber ich weiß nicht, wie lange sie gedauert haben, und als sie veröffentlicht wurden, scheinen sie um die 4000-Yen-Marke verkauft worden zu sein.
